About Jim Faulk Kinetic Art

Jim Faulk is an electrical engineer and kinetic artist living in Niwot, Colorado.
His desire is to restore old artifacts: fans, oscilloscopes and scientific equipment and add a touch of whimsy.
Too often, antiques, obsolete equipment are left to the attic or even the dumpster. Older technology and equipment still contain a beauty and aesthetic relegated to the industrial era that deserves to be restored.
To “re-automate” these forms is an essential part of his work adding movement and illumination.
Jim’s sculptures have been exhibited in a past Louisville Art Association art show and an annual Boulder Artist Association show.
Additionally, Jim’s works have been donated to the Larimer County Humane Society silent auction fund raising events.
Jim received his BSEE and MSEE degrees from the University of South Carolina.
